Airline Uses "Baby Seat Map" So People Can Avoid Infants

Toughen up. Be an adult. Suck it up.

Maybe because I am at point in my life where I fly (a lot) with a 3 year old and a 10 month old - but seriously, this is incredibly dumb.

From KTLA:

Japan Airlines has revealed a new tool that lets you dodge infants when you book your seat.

“Passengers traveling with children between 8 days and 2 years old who select their seats on the JAL website will have a child icon displayed on their seats on the seat selection screen,” reads the airline’s website.

“This lets other passengers know a child may be sitting there.”

Maybe instead of running away - you offer to help? Or at the very least show some compassion to the parents. Let them know that you understand that it's a tough awkward spot that they are in - and let them know that it's ok. Because it is ok. Trust me, no one wants that kid to stop crying more than those parents - except maybe the actual kid.

Monsters.
