The Dallas Police Department has issued a request to residents: Stop calling to report the dead bodies strewn about the front yard of a local home.
That's because the "bodies" are the creation of local artist Steven Novak, who's known for his extravagant Halloween displays.
This year, Novak decided to take a more realistic approach, he says. "I’ve always been up to hijinks like flying ghosts or 7-foot tall snow sculptures of myself," he says. But this year, he opted to do "something that would really freak people out walking by in the dark. So I whipped up some dummies and slung 20 gallons of blood all over."
