But first...another WHO KNEW??? ;0
Leighton Meester...star of the TV show 'Gossip Girl', is set to release an album??
The actress has inked a deal with the Universal Republic record label and has been working in the studio with producers Polow Da Don (Usher, Fergie), Harvey Mason, Jr (Justin Timberlake, Pink) and Spencer Nezey, reports Billboard. In a statement, the label described Meester's music as "electro-pop". This isn't her first foray into music ? last year she sung with Tony Bennett on the TV show 'Entourage'. Good luck sista!

For Rolling Stone's new cover story charting Kings of Leon's God-fearing, booze-swilling rise to rock stardom, Austin Scaggs followed the Followills from Tennessee to Australia, swilling wine and partying with huge stars like Chris Martin along the way. RS also visited the Kings in their Nashville homes for an intimate tour of their private lives ? watch the video, above ? and managed to squeeze a few more facts and hilarious stories out of the foursome. Here's 13 of the most enlightening:
1. All of the Kings go by their middle names. So what are their real first names? Singer Anthony "Caleb" Followill, drummer Ivan "Nathan" Followill, guitarist Cameron "Matthew" Followill and bassist Michael "Jared" Followill.
2. In their teens, the Followill boys threw parties at their dad, Ivan's house. When Ivan deemed that the party was over, he put jalapeños in the microwave. The fumes burned peoples' eyes until they vacated the premises.
3. In their earliest years evangelizing through the South with their preacher father, the family traveled in a Chrysler. "It would backfire," says Nathan, "and we were so embarrassed that when we'd pull into a church, we'd have to kill the engine and coast into the parking lot." Ivan could also backfire the car on command, say, when they were driving by a construction site. "The guys would literally drop to the ground," says Nathan. "I don't know how my dad did it. He was a man of God. He was gifted."
4. When he was three years old, Jared would jump up on the arm of the sofa, unclasp the lock on the front door, and climb up onto the neighbors' roof. Jared was also known around the neighborhood for riding his scooter, naked. "I'd wear a T-shirt, so I wasn't completely naked," Jared says. "I'd be casual, but naked from the waist down."
5. When the Kings played Saturday Night Live last September, Caleb walked the backstage halls and took a moment to pause in front of a portrait of Chris Farley. Growing up, he was obsessed with the comic. "I knew I was going to be on Saturday Night Live," he says. "I didn't know that I'd be singing." Nathan remembers the phone call he received on December 18th, 1997. "Caleb was crying his eyes out and he kept saying, 'He's dead! He's dead!' I was like, 'What? Dad's dead?' "
6. Caleb was 14 the first time he smoked weed, in Henderson, Tennessee. "I was with [cousin] Peanut, and we were in a graveyard," says Caleb. "I was like, 'I don't feel it,' but when we got home I was eating a bunch of chicken tenders. Peanut said, 'What the f**k, man, you're gonna kill your buzz.' That's when I realized, 'Maybe I am feeling this??'

Yo peeps...it's Earth Day....as we know....EVERYDAY IS EARTH DAY right??? What r U doing to make this a better, cleaner, healthier place to live???
Ecological footprint ? is a measure of human demand on the Earth?s ecosystems. It compares human demand with planet Earth?s ecological capacity to regenerate. It represents the amount of biologically productive land and sea area needed to regenerate the resources a human population consumes and to absorb and render harmless the corresponding waste. Using this assessment, it is possible to estimate how much of the Earth (or how many planet Earths) it would take to support humanity if everybody lived a green lifestyle.
What is your ecological footprint?

Why Recycle??????
The U2 guitarist's plans to build five mountaintop mansions in Malibu with fantastic oceanside views is facing fierce opposition from some famous NIMBYs concerned the homes will be an environmental catastrophe.

According to the Los Angeles Times, the proposed project would be built above homes belonging to the likes of Dick Van Dyke, Kelsey Grammer and James Cameron and would require some extensive and tricky engineering, including extension of a road down a rugged elevation, grading 70,000 cubic yards of hillside and installing water lines."The downside of this is a permanently scarred mountainside for the benefit of a very few that for many years all will view," Jefferson Wagner, a Malibu councilman, told the newspaper. "For somebody so revered even to be orchestrating this type of development in such a sensitive area is hypocritical." The Edge, whose real name is David Evans, promises development on the properties will address those concerns with care. "My family and I love Malibu, having maintained a residence here for more than a decade," he told the Times. "These homes will be some of the most environmentally sensitive ever designed in Malibu?or anywhere in the world. I'm disappointed that certain critics either don't have the facts or have ulterior motives." The Grammy-winning Rock and Roll Hall of Famer has "certificates of compliance" from Los Angeles County establishing that the land he owns meets all legal requirements. Edge added that he and Irish real estate investor Derek Quinlan plan to take up residence in two of the homes and most likely flip the other three, which has rankled some neighbors whose peace and quiet will be rattled by all the building. The California Coastal Commission is expected to review the environmental impact of the project in June. This is not the first fight Evans has found himself in with neighbors. He and the rest of U2 came under fire in their hometown of Dublin for now defunct plans to build the so-called U2 Tower, a proposed skyscraper in the heart of the city that would've been the tallest in Ireland. Preservationists claimed the $220 million project would have resulted in the tearing down of four adjacent historic buildings. He's the EDGE!!! Should he be able to do what he wants??? ;0 thoughts?
ooooooooooo-snap!! If she's not a lying crazy stalker...Mel's ex wife can start swimmin in that cash!!! SCANDALOUS!! ;0
Days after Mel Gibson's wife of 28 years, Robyn, filed for divorce, a 24-year-old Russian pop singer has come forth, claiming that she had a romantic relationship with the 53-year-old actor and has now fallen in love. In a new interview in Britain's The Sun, Oksana Pochepa also confirms that she is the mystery brunette photographed kissing Gibson on a Costa Rican beach in March. "This is serious and I hope that our union will be real and strong and long-lasting," she told the paper Tuesday.

Us Weekly reports in its latest issue (on newsstands today) that the two met last August when Pochepa was hired to compose a song for Gibson's upcoming thriller Edge of Darkness. A source on the Massachusetts set tells Us that the pair - who would spend entire days alone together in his trailer - always tried to be discreet about their relationship."They would come out and attempt to walk around separately, but then at the end of the day, they both returned to the same hotel," the on-set source tells Us. "She was there on and off for a week, but it was clear she had no business there other than to be with Mel." Fueling more rumors? They met up in January in Mexico City, where Gibson directed a music video for Pochepa."Mel's team brought all of their own people," Alejandro Alvarez of Estudios Churubusco tells Us of the shoot.
Do u think his mid-life crisis is continuing or WHAT??? ;0

BRANDON FLOWERS SAYS GRUNGE WAS NO FUN...not the CLOTHES at least ;0

The Killers' Brandon Flowers has blamed Nirvana and Kurt Cobain for making rock music depressing. Despite the seminal grunge frontman dying almost 15 years ago to the day (he took his life on April 5, 1994), Flowers lambasted Cobain. "I don't mean it in a bad way but I think Kurt Cobain and grunge took the fun out of rock and roll," he said. However, Flowers says that he thinks his band is now making American music "a lot more playful and brighter" (Daily Star). ouch!
